HIV/AIDS Glossary

Any of several diseases that are characterized by genital sores. Genital ulcer diseases are usually sexually transmitted infections, including genital herpes, syphilis, and chancroid. Genital ulcer diseases increase the likelihood of sexual transmission of HIV.
