HIV/AIDS Glossary

The U.S. government global initiative to combat the HIV epidemic. The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) works with governmental and nongovernmental partners worldwide to support integrated HIV prevention, treatment, and care programs. PEPFAR priorities include leveraging data and partnerships to expand and sustain the global response to HIV with a focus on key populations, including gay men and other men who have sex with men, adolescent girls and women, and children.
